For the Corkonians the months of October and November are for sure the best months of the year thanks to the Jazz Festival in October (28-31 Oct) and the Corona Cork Film Festival in November (6-13 Nov). This year (6th Nov 2011) Cork will host the 56th Edition of The Cork Film Festival which is one of the oldest European Festivals. Established in 1956, the festival has enjoyed a steady growth in scale, in numbers of admissions and guests, in reputation and in media coverage. The festival has developed an ever-increasing audience of general public, film lovers and filmmakers. Now known as the Corona Cork Film Festival after its title sponsor, the festival is held in high regard on a local, national and international level. The programme is wide-ranging, an eclectic mix of big budget pictures, world cinema, innovative independent films, documentaries and short films from all over the globe. The festival is a major showcase for Irish film production. Our EazyCity branch (EazyCork) will raffle 2 free tickets 🙂
We cant wait for the Cork Film Festival!!!
