Let’s go to travel to Spain, our next stop is… Valencia! An amazing city located in the Mediterranean coast of Iberian Peninsula.

You can prepare infinite dishes with rice and another ingredients. The main and the most popular dish is… Paella!
Paella
It is the most representative dish in Valencia. Spain is famous for more things around the world, but one of these is Paella and causally Valencia is the city where Paella was born.
How many kinds of paella you can find?
Actually, there are a lot of types, you can mix the rice with all the ingredient that you want. But the most common paellas in Spain are three:
1. Paella Valenciana makes with chicken, rabbit and green beans
2. Paella de marisco is rice with seafood, the main ingredients are squid, mussels, shrimp and clams
3. Paella mixta this paella is a mix between the previous both, you can find, chicken and seafood with green beans
But as we were saying, there are plenty of rice dishes that you can try in Valencia such as: Arroz al Horno, Arroz con judías y nabos, Arroz a Banda, Arroz Negro, Arroz con vino tinto de monastrell, Arroz del senyoret, etc.
Esgarraet
Typical Valencian dish. This is a starter before to eat the main course, it is made with roasted red pepper, shredded salted cod, garlic and olive oil.
Advise: When you eat this starter, always have a slide of bread near to you, it is tasty dip the bread with the sauce of the Esgarraet. You will enjoy it!
Cocas
Cocas are another common starter, as empanadillas or rosquilletas. It is a perfect dish to offer to your guest or to bring in some dinners or parties. What is coca? Is kind of focaccia. Could be salty or sweet, as you prefer.
Fideguá
With the paella is another representative dish. Is making more or less the same way than paella, but instead of rice, you have to add noodles. It is making also with fish, squid, shrimp and Norway lobster.
You can find this delicious main course at any restaurants in Valencia but the most famous fideguá in Valencia is made in Gandía, city located on the southwest of Valencia.
Fartón with Horchata de chufa
An important delicious dessert in Valencia. Fartón is a sweet made with flour, milk, sugar, oil, yeast and eggs, it’s fluffy and sweet. It was made for dip on the Horchata, which is a refreshing drink obtained from a plan called chufa.
Agua de Valencia
We were speaking about delicious food, but Valencia has also a typical drink. Agua de Valencia is a cocktail of Champagne or cava with orange juice, vodka and gin. Usually it is served in a glass of Champagne.
It is a perfect drink to have with your friends!
