The World Exposition Milano 2015 is hosted in Milan from 1st May until 31st October and the event was officially announced by the Bureau International des Expositions.
The main themes are alimentation, food education, new technology and the big problem about the scarcity of food in some areas of the world. Everyone in the world has the inalienable right to health. One of the aims of the Expo is to innovate the technology and research about storage and food distribution.
The price for the ticket during the day is 34€ and 5 € during the night. The exposition is close to Milan, in Rho. You can arrive there with the train or the subway from the centre of the city.
We interviewed Giulia, an Italian girl working at EXPO.
Hello Giulia! How did you find this job?
I found this job by word of mouth, one of my friends is working here, too. She told me that they were looking for someone who speaks French.
Is it difficult to work and study at the same time?
At the moment I moved away from the study both for my choice both for the difficult situation in Italy, especially for the young people.
What does it means working at EXPO for you?
Expo isn’t only a world exposition, it’s a magic place where brotherhood and globalization are together. Finally I fell part of Europe and the World.
How did this experience change your life?
I rediscovered the positivity for a better future, the hope for a new work.

Hello Chiara! How did you find this job?
I saw the job advertisement on the web side of the agency; they were looking for an administration coordinator: someone to organise the event and the catering. In the last period I had a new passion about food and cook!
What does it means to work at EXPO for you?
At the beginning I thought that work at EXPO for me would have been very helpful and motivating, but now I see only disorganization and discomfort. But during this work I’m seeing a new world of the food that I love, so it’s good for me for understand better how this kind of world is.
How do you feel to work in an international place?
I travelled a lot in my life, I went in Greece and Ireland. I like working in an international contexts and with different cultures. It’s amazing for me to speak a common language and to learn new languages. It’s good to think that there is always something new to learn in life!
