“I’ve always loved Ireland and I’ve always dreamed of coming here since I was a child. So, it’s like I’m realising a dream come true.”
Here’s Lucia, 37 years old, from Sicily, South of Italy. She’s hoping to find a job soon and her plan is to stay in Galway for as long as possible.
When did you fall in love with Ireland?
When I was 17 years old, one of my favourite bands was U2, it still is U2, and the very moment I fell in love with Ireland was when I listened to ‘Clannad’ and U2 for the first time. It’s about the music. Music is what brought me here!

EazyCity is amazing, definitely.
How did we help you?
The very first problem when you go abroad is finding a good house, it really isn’t an easy task. So first thing I did was I called EazyCity Galway to help me find accommodation and they got it for me in a pretty short time period, which made me feel a lot more comfortable because now I just had to find a job.
Any advice for others looking to move abroad?
Be brave and go for it! You get richer if you go abroad. Have no fear!
