Travelling is one of the best things in the world! The ones who have the possibility to visit many countries are, in my opinion, the luckiest. Of course, if you visit different and incredible places, you will remember them forever, but there are some ways that can help us to keep a memory alive: every good traveller has almost one of them… Which one is yours?
This well-known app is one of the most used: you can share your photos and videos with friends to let them know what are you doing in that moment. Many travellers use Instagram to show the amazing places they are visiting and some of them (not everyone of course!) are very good in taking pictures. Some of the most famous Instagram pages about travelling are AFAR, Davidsbeenhere and Muradosmann…Have a look to be inspired for your next travels!
Travel diary
The most classical and ancient way of remembering your journey! It is quite easy to realize (you just need a diary and a pen!) and it will survive forever but maybe it requires a bit more time because you should write what happened during your day, for each day while you are abroad. Therefore, the options are two: or you are a very patient person and you know that you are going to write something on your diary every evening or…try something else! 🙂
Flickr
Flickr is another online platform which can be considered similar to Instagram but is mainly used by photographers who are more expert and take more professional pictures. On Flickr you can post and share the best photos from your travels and so you will remember your journey forever! Moreover, on this platform, you can join groups about different topics (like, for example, “Travel”) and, thanks to this, a bigger number of people will see your pictures.
Travel Blog
The idea of being a travel blogger is a dream for many people but it is quite difficult: in fact, if you want to become famous and have a very good page, you have to update almost every day/week something new on your page and this is possible only if you are a great traveller! Any way you can do it even if you don’t change places every day…the most important thing is having stories to tell and photos to share! If you feel this is your personal way of sharing your travels, you should create your own blog on WordPress, Tumblr or SquareSpace. Be inspired by blogs like Nomadic Matt and Alex in Wanderland!
Travel Vlog
Lately a new way to document and share travels caught on the web: Vlogging. What is it? Well is it like an online blog but instead of photos and written parts, the vlogger uploads videos on Youtube to tell his adventures and show videos of his experiences. Are you abroad and are you looking at something really interesting, strange or amazing? Record it and become a vlogger!
Tripcast
Tripcast is a living travel journey: it is like a diary but online, in which you can add photos, notes, maps and shares your snaps in an album. Tripcast lets you show the content of your travel’s album only to people you choose, so it is quite private: is the perfect way to share your travels if you are the kind of traveller who wants to show his experience only to family members or close friends.
