Julia Lynes, Co-Director EazyCity with Norah Casey, CEO of Harmonia Publications
As the 2011 President of Network Cork I had the privilege this month of meeting Norah Casey, CEO of Harmonia Publications and the only female dragon on RTE’s Dragon’s Den.
I should explain that Network Cork is a networking organisation for women in business, the professions and the arts. We meet once per month for events and we usually invite a successful business person to speak at these events. Norah was the perfect choice as she runs a very successful magazine publishing company and now also invests in start up companies through her role on Dragon’s Den.
Norah shared with us her 10 tips for success including one of my favourite’s ‘Never Stop Learning’. If you are offered training by your company or you have the opportunity to go back to study at university, do it! It’s so important to continue to learn throughout your life.
We were delighted that Norah was able to take time out of her busy schedule to come and speak to our group.

Next weekend the EazyCork team is taking part in a charity event also supported by Network Cork called Spring Clean for Charity in Cork City Hall. We will take all the items of clothing, shoes, household goods etc which have been left behind by tenants in our accommodation and sell them at this fair. The money we raise will be donated to Cork charities. The event takes place on Saturday 24th September in Cork City Hall so please drop by to say hello and to buy something 🙂
