Learning a foreign language is always quicker for children so what a better way to learn and speak English than during holidays, while having fun with other people of their ages?!
Junior Summer camp gives the chance to children from 8 to 16 years old to learn English in a funny way in the morning. Then in the afternoon they’ll enjoy the holidays with all the other participants during one or two weeks! For sure you know someone who already had much fun at a junior camp during his/her holidays and got super memories of that unique experience in summer holidays.
Here are the five reasons for children and teenagers to take part to a language holidays camp!
- Learn English in an interactive way
During their stay, students are divided into three different groups of age. After all, each age has different needs. There, they’ll meet their teachers and tutors, native speakers who will look after the students. And naturally they’ll speak in English. But don’t worry: they are all trained to communicate with young people from a different country, so no one will feel misunderstood. Moreover, teachers know how to make language classes motivating and organise them to look more like a game then a boring lesson.
Groups are also based on the level of the students. For this purpose, to be as efficient as possible and to know how to steer the participant, each student is recommended to take a placement test before their arrival.
- Meet children from several nationalities
Students will enjoy this original experience with others from several nationalities. The aim is not just to learn English but also to try to use it in the daily day to create conversations. As a side effect, in a summer camp, students build friendship with other participants who don’t have the same native language, international friendships that may last for years.
- Have fun by doing activities
School devotes afternoons to activities such as sport or cultural visits. Each of them is made, of course, in a group. For the children and teenagers from 10 to 16, stays are available to spend 2 weeks and participate in all activities of the program from the morning to the evening!
Usually the students stay in a campus with great sport facilities, and they can have fun playing team games. Furthermore, the school organises every week different visits outside the campus, sometimes to cultural attractions, sometimes to amusement parks!
- Be immersed in a new culture
Classes as well as afternoon and/or evening activities allow young people to learn another culture and be immersed in it with native English tutors and activity leaders.
Also during the English classes, some lessons will be dedicated to some aspects of English culture such as history, sciences or art.
- Being in another environment than the daily one
From the age of 10 to 16, teenagers can spend 2 entire weeks in a summer language camp. Even if it’s challenging, children and teenagers enjoy being a bit more autonomous and without parents during holidays and it is the occasion to practise English (the best way to improve!) while making new friends exactly such as in a holidays camp. And remember: also as our famous Harry Potter lives the whole year in a boarding school with Ron, Hermione and all their fellow students and their adventures always start from there!
Would you like to experience a summer course with all your family?
There also a morning option, thought for those family who wants to spend their holidays in London: Children from the ages of 8 to 16 can learn English and – why not? – take part to the afternoon activities. Later they can join their families for the evening.
We think it is pertinent to make learning English enjoyable as useful! A language stay combines these both aspects!
