We hope that the “sunniest” seasons of 2016 will offer us beautiful moments and whole days outdoor and to counter bad spells, it’s time for us to write about summer festival in London. Music, theatre, Circus: London is a vibrant city all the more when the sun starts to come out! Here are the 4 festivals that we choose for this spring-summer season in London.
West End Live
Would you like to experience a free festival in London? Don’t look for anything else! West End Live has everything that you wish. It is a festival in Trafalgar Square on the 18th and 19th of June. For the whole weekend you will see some of London’s best shows emerge blinking into the open-air. Let’s go to make the most expensive place in London the cheapest!
If you want to see all the West End shows you can visit the Official London theatre page and looking for the price of the entrance.
British Summer Time Hyde Park
If you love listening to music, British Summer Time it is perfect for you! Every year some famous artists fill up the Hyde Park with all of their fans. This year, the festival starts from 1st of July until 10th of July. You can enjoy being in the concert of Stevie Wonder, Carole King, Massive Attack and more! And the best news are that you can still buy tickets, are not sold out yet. So, don’t miss this opportunity and go ahead to buy your ticket! The price of the tickets are around £50 to £230.
Citadel festival
The 17th of July, it’s a real complex which will be set up in Victoria Park. In fact, the event is not just hearing musician and singer (even if it’s the biggest part and for the big-names you probably bought the ticket) there are theatre artists too and several different workshops, sport (I like the slackline training!) and relaxing places too. Have a look on the updated programme of these all kinds of activities.
Unfortunately, the tickets are already sold out but it’s always possible to find some after the sales left. Nevertheless, don’t forget to buy your entrance on a secure and safe website such as the official one of the event. Every year there are so many cons of individual who resell tickets that they “have bought”…or not really… And that is valid for all the events for which you need to book the tickets in advance!
The Notting Hill Carnival
To close the festival season, it’s on the 28th and 29th of August that is the annual Notting Hill Carnaval which complete the circle with a Caribbean atmosphere. You need to know that this event had been the most important street festival in the past. With the multiplication of that kind of events which federated people it must not be anymore but it keeps going being a great and large one! But what we are sure about it’s that it will be the most colourful festival of this summer: just have a look on the website to observe it with the parade and all the awesome costumes!
