When you think of summer, what’s the first thing that comes to your mind?
Sunshine? Long summer nights? Beach? Cocktails?
Normally, you don’t think about summer festivals whereas it’s one of the best ways to rock the summer months. If you are a great fan of movies, generally of cinema, you can’t miss this festival!
This week, we present to you the Edinburgh International Film Festival because June is synonymous with festivals.
Established in 1947, we invite you to discover and to participate in this nice festival that is world renowned for discovering and promoting the very best in international cinema. It is located in the capital city of Scotland, located in Lothian on the southern shore of the Firth of Forth. The 69th EIFF will run from 17 to 28 June 2015. Over 250 new features and shorts, live events which includes 24 world premieres, eight international premieres, 16 European premieres and 84 U.K. premieres. The film festival will be opened and closed with two Scottish films: The Legend of Barney Thomson, directed by Robert Carlyle, and Iona, made by Scott Graham.

- 18 June – Northern Soul Night ‘I’ve Been Loving You’ with DJ Phil Crosskill after the screening of Amy
- 22 June – Comic Book & Board games spectacular “Bite Me Fanboy” event follows Future Shock! screening
- 24 June – Chuck Norris Vs Filmhouse 80s after party, to celebrate Chuck Norris vs Communism
- 25 June – Experiment with us during our Black Box celebration with amazing cocktail samplings
- 26 June – Rebel Rebel, DJ Derek Coghill brings music from the 70s to the 90s for all your nostalgic needs
It’s a great deal to see different types of movies. You will be surrounded by the Art of Cinema with your family and your friends. You will get the news of the old fashioned and the new cinema at the same time. Edinburgh International Film Festival is a key part of British film culture ! It will be an unforgetable experience !

During the 2015 edition, the Festival will also be presenting a series of interviews with leading film personalities, such as Ewan McGregor, Paul Dano, Malcolm McDowell, and Jane Seymour.
